     Plate XLVII in DJD IX is derived from IAA 225837. Fragment 9 of 4Q127 can also be found in IAA 198980 and among the PAM images, namely: 40.633, 41.932, and 42.145. The Microfiche edition contains a good copy of PAM 42.145, while the Facsimile edition contains a good copy of 41.932.

     See the shaded area on line 3 of the image below. The vertical position of the alpha relative to that of the iota that it follows is also similar to that of 7Q5.
     In addition to fragment 9, there are several other examples, as 4Q127 includes a total of 86 papyrus fragments as depicted on plate XLVII of DJD IX. Some of these additional examples can be found among fragments: 1, 2, 3, 8, 17, and 37.
     P. J. Parsons, on pages 7-12 of DJD IX, describes the palaeography and dating of all six Greek manuscripts found in Qumran Cave 4. On pages 8 and 9, he shows typical examples of letters from each of the manuscripts. The examples for 4Q127 are shown in figure 6 on page 9. The alphas from this chart are shown just beneath the image of fragment 9 found below.
